I am also on OS X.

I haven’t been back to check it out in Safari since that first day, but it very well could be working now. I know the problem that I had with the ‘Equip’ feature in Firefox has been resolved. I noticed the profiler was taken offline for a while over the weekend, so hopefully they were ironing some of the kinks out.

I’ll check out your site when I have a chance today, it sounds interesting!

I’m loving the new feature. With the exception of one glitch, which the people on the site were really nice with helping me work out, it’s worked fine for me. I like the “find upgrade” feature as well, although you have to be aware of the stats (and armor type) you particularly want and add those to your filter, otherwise it will suggest cloth items for your pally, Int items when you want Agi, etc.

Nice review. Profiler’s still a bit rough around the edges, but I think the “different profiles” feature will appeal to a lot of people.

It worked fine for me on Safari 4, but I’m on OSX, not sure about you.

If you allow, I’d like to point you to my own site, http://CharPool.net — it’s slightly similar, but it’s automatically keeping track of your characters’ progress. Shows it on a timeline, along with uploaded screenshots, blog entries and tweets. I guess in that regard it’s a tad more suited to RPers.

The danger of any sort of “find upgrades” feature is that requires you to trust whoever came up with the standard by which said upgrades are judged. Don’t trust any one source… if someone (or some tool, in this case) tells you everything is wrong, do some research and find out what the general consensus in the community is before you overhaul your gear.

I’ve noticed that some items don’t come up, but the “find upgrades” function is phenomenal. I found out my holy pally has been geared wrong for at least 10 levels. >.<

Wowhead has a ton of problems with badly placed ads. Without AdBlockPlus, I shudder at what that place may look like at times.

It looks like a good start but there is still a lot of work on it. My main issue with the site atm is the speed and not so elaborate filter functions. Still… it beats a lot of profiling pages. I hope/expect it to become better in time.
